Besides my heart hurting for Kay, her family, and the wolfpack basketball team, I am pissed. It's bad enough that one has to suffer from this horrible cancer, but then to fight it and have it come back is totally unfair. I have had too many people that I know affected by breast cancer. My mother (and our family) lost her her dear friend that she had known for many many years from breast cancer. She like Kay, had fought this only to have it reoccur. My was heartbroken when her friend and passed. I have a good knitting buddy that had to go through this herself, but thank goodness she came through it like a trooper and is doing great!!!!
The passsing of Kay Yow is a huge blow not only to the wolfpack community, but also to the many cancer charities that Kay was involved in. But I have to believe that Kay Yow and Jim Valvano are in heaven starting up their own NC State basketball team. Who knows, maybe they are shooting hoops themselves. :0)
